2021 is a momentous year where we celebrate the 500 years of Christianity and the 10th year of the Live Christ Share Christ Mission. But as we look at our country that is plagued with the Covid-19 pandemic, corruption in government, dwindling active Church goers and the onslaught of the Culture of Death, we ask ourselves - are these milestones still worth celebrating? The answer is a resounding yes!

Amidst the realities of life, we are to give witness to everyone that Christ is the answer to all man's problems. We share our faith because it gives us hope. We hope for a better future and we believe that God has a beautiful plan. Because of our faith, we understand that for this world to be better it needs to experience the love of Christ.

The New Evangelization Conference 2021 is an avenue for us in the Live Christ Share Christ Mission to proclaim who Jesus is amidst the crisis we are in. We are to celebrate God's goodness, and empower Filipino Catholics to do the work of mission and evangelization. Commanded by God to be a light to the world, our task is to bring God's salvation to every people.

Jesus is the light of the world. In this time of crisis, Filipino Catholics needs an encounter with Jesus who is the one true light that shines in the darkness. "Sa gitna ng kadiliman na bumabalot sa mundo. si Hesus ang tanglaw - ang natatanging ilaw at liwanag na pumapawi ng dilim.

Jesus now calls us and reminds us of our dignity which we often forget - that He made us light! We are called to be bearers of this Light and to radiate it ti the nations! This is the year that we revive our call as a Catholic nation to be the light of Asia and to bring Christ's light into the world.

"TANGLAW: Liwanag sa Dilim" is more than just an event title. It speaks of who Jesus Christ is, and of our identity, calling , and mission as missionary disciples of new evangelization.
