My dear brethren, it has been 3 years since I asked for support for LCSC through Gideon 300. Over 200 of you responded and committed to give 1,000 pesos per month for a year in 2013. Toward the end of 2013 I asked our supporters to continue for another year, to which many again responded positively. Now it has been 3 years, and our work has grown. Attached is what we have accomplished through the years and what we project, leading up to 2021.

A number of you are still supporting G300. Starting 2016, I would like to build up this support to its full force, a group of 300 brethren who will give 1,000 pesos a month. This time I would like it open-ended, as our work goes to 2021 and beyond. Please let me know by email if I can count on you. I ask even those who are still currently giving to send me a note that they are fully with G300. You of course can leave G300 at any time, if your financial condition changes. Just let me know.
The above attachment shows the desired reach of our LCSs. We look to reach 10 million Catholics in the Philippines with the gospel by 2021. In addition, we have had many other significant initiatives. Among them:
* LCSC has gone on mission, as we brought the work to a diocese in Malawi (Africa) at the request of its bishop, conducted 3 LCSs for priests, nuns and lay leaders, and in 2016 they are poised to do massive evangelization in that diocese.
* We have set up our training institute, which is LIFT (LCSC Institute for Formation and Training). We will have our first week-long training in April 2016 in Manila, with participants from abroad and locally. This will be the first of many. The intent is to raise champions to pursue the work of LCSC, and not necessarily CFC-FFL members.
* Live Pure has been growing steadily in reaching young people with the gospel of chastity — 9,672 in 2012, 23,162 in 2013, 46,546 in 2014, and 37,340 as of September this year. For 2016 our Live Pure brethren are targetting to reach 100,000 youth.
* We have brought LCSC to 5 seminaries, and the feedback has been very encouraging. We hope to have a real role in the formation of our future priests.
LCSC is just 4-years old, but it is already affirmed by many prelates and priests as the way to go for the New Evangelization. LCSC is currently in 44 provinces and 214 parishes in the Philippines, as well as in 19 other countries. There is much work to be done. There are a lot of opportunities to be seized. We need your support.

The call to the New Evangelization intensifies. One lay response is the Live Christ, Share Christ (LCSC) movement. It is a movement for evangelization and renewal, where Catholics are to meet Christ, live Christ and share Christ. LCSC intends to do massive evangelization based in the parishes, reaching to the grassroots. One key result will be to mainstream Catholic lay evangelization, given the great importance of the participation of the laity in the life and mission of the Church.
The New Evangelization in the Philippine setting looks to the celebration of 500 years of Christianity in 2021. On that momentous event, we look to a stronger Church, passionately committed to Christ and mission. But that will take quite a bit of work. LCSC is committed to do its share, especially in this time of grace leading up to 2021. And of course the work will continue beyond 2021, until the Lord returns once again.
The LCSC movement started in October of 2011, with one parish in Antipolo, the Parish of the Immaculate Heart of Mary. In the year that has passed, the movement has been started in a total of 12 parishes in Manila and in the provinces (Rizal, Zamboanga del Norte, Isabela, Pangasinan, Iloilo, Tarlac), as well as in Ontario, Canada. A total of 910 people have gone through the basic program.
Given the enthusiasm of parish priests and parish leaders, given affirmation from the Holy Spirit, LCSC is poised to do very much more starting 2013.
It is in this regard that I am soliciting your help. The opportunities for greater work are vast, but what can hold this back is the lack of funding. Funds will be needed to propagate the movement in dioceses and parishes throughout the nation, to send mission teams to conduct the programs, to provide back room support, to set up a training institute for resource persons, and to support LCSC programs of youth chastity, liturgical Bible study, pro-life and work with the poor.
In this regard, I am setting up Gideon 300. As you know, Gideon with his 300 soldiers routed the Midianites with their vast army. The Catholic Church is now in a war with the forces of the culture of death. These forces have vast resources of money and power behind them, and they are intent on destroying faith, family and life. We are literally in a David and Goliath struggle (but we know who wins!). Our survival rests on the massive evangelization that needs to happen.
Will you stand with me? I am looking for 300 individuals–in or outside the Philippines, Filipinos or other nationalities, natural or juridical persons–who are willing to donate 1,000 pesos per month for a year (renewal after that if you want to), starting January 2013. Payments are made out to The Live Christ Share Christ Movement Inc.
These are very challenging but exciting times. The world is being overwhelmed by a tsunami of evil. But God’s forces are fighting back. Please help support God’s workers at the front lines.
